How do I RSVP?
Click on the RSVP tab in the website menu to go to the RSVP portal. Search for your name, and your invitation will appear, along with the names of anyone else associated with your invite (partner, child, guest, etc.).
Why can't I find my name?
We probably misspelled it! If you received an invitation, you’re definitely on our list. It’s possible there’s a typo or something got mixed up. Just text one of us, and we’ll fix it.
Can I bring a plus one?
Your invitation will specify who is included, including 'and guest' where applicable. When you RSVP, you’ll see your guest or partner listed alongside your name, and you’ll be able to respond for them as well.
Can I bring my kids?
Our wedding is kid-friendly; if we know your kids, you should see their names listed with your RSVP. If we’ve missed any you'd like us to include, just let us know. It's entirely up to you whether you'd like to bring them or not!
What is the dress code?
Think stylish but relaxed—dress for a wedding with a touch of rustic charm (if you'd like) to match our rural setting and wildflower theme. We're all for things like fresh black jeans, worn-in cowboy boots, and wildflower crowns, but feel free to pull that go-to suit or dress out of the closet, too. Whatever makes you feel polished yet comfortable for an afternoon and evening of celebration in the countryside.
What time should I arrive?
To ensure you're able to park and settle in time, please arrive no later than 2:30 PM for the 3:00 PM ceremony at Killdeer Beach.
What is the best way to get to Killdeer Beach?
From Edmonton, take the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) West toward Jasper. Stay on Highway 16 until you reach Highway 43 North (toward Whitecourt/Grande Prairie). Follow Highway 43 until it curves West and then take the exit for Highway 33 North (Grizzly Trail). Stay on Highway 33 for about 10-15 minutes, then turn right onto Lac La Nonne Road (TWP 570). From here, you should see signs for Killdeer Beach and the wedding.
Why... "Killdeer?"
It's a bird! Killdeer Beach Resort has been around in some capacity as a recreational camping area since 1928. It was named after the bird often seen on its shores.
Where do I park when I arrive at Killdeer Beach Resort?
The campground itself has limited parking, but we’ve arranged with a nearby farmer for extra parking in his field across the road. As you approach, look for signs directing you to the parking area. From there, enjoy the VIP treatment with a golf cart shuttle that’ll take you straight to the ceremony location!
Is there transportation between the ceremony and reception?
We have not arranged transportation for guests between Killdeer Beach and Westlock. We recommend driving or car pooling to both locations, but if you plan to enjoy drinks at the ceremony (beer will be available), please make arrangements for a safe ride.
Where should I stay in Westlock?
If you're planning to stay and party the night away with us, there are accommodation options in town, including hotels and camping. Check out the accommodations page for more details, including information on our room block at the Ramada.
